Trade exchanges at Mazandaran ports up by 51%

TEHRAN – The trade exchanges at the ports of Mazandaran Province in the last month, grew by 51 percent. The transactions included the transport of oil products from the Caspian Sea ports.
The volume of the trade exchanges and cargo transportation from Iran’s ports of Noshahr and Neka, hit 2,278,000 tons in July this year, noted Nabi Seidpur, the managing director of the Ports and Shipping Organization of this northern Iranian province.
He also explained that since the beginning of the new Iranian year (started March 21), 519 vessels had called the ports of the province. During the same period, some 1,769,294 tons of oil products were transported via Neka oil jetty, the official pointed out. “The figure, however, has jumped by 45 percent as compared with the year before.” RA/MA END MNA
